Have you ever felt like you were trapped in a box with no way out and nowhere to go? I know the way that feels. I’ve never been out of the state California, though there are many places I would like to visit. Because travel is so time consuming and expensive I do not blame anyone for not being able to give me those experiences, although I would like to make my dream of traveling the world a reality.
Living my life, not having ventured out of California, I feel has had an impact on my knowledge of different cultures and ways of living. Living in California I have been able to experience most of the thrills and wonders of the gold coast. It’s a blessing and a curse. Living so close to the beach would be a luxury for most people, but me living here for so long, I have lost interest. I would like to explore new grounds, sites and cultures that the world has to offer. The knowledge would greatly benefit my view on life.
Leaving the U.S has always been a surreal dream of mine, but I plan to fulfill it. I would like to visit many countries on the other side of the world and more. In particular, I have always wanted to take a visit to the majestic land of leprechauns, some may call Ireland. Since I was young, I have always dreamt of what Ireland would be like if I got the opportunity to go. I Imagine the crisp air blowing through my hair as I stroll across the bright green colorful fields full of fluffy shaped mammals shape of cotton balls. After my four years of college I plan to take my journey and travel around the world. With the doubts and negative comments that come from people’s mouths as I tell them my plan with a joyful and hoping face, they always have an opinion on it, whether it be positive or not, I’d rather not hear it.
The very few places i’ve been in my time have not exactly given me the wisdom and knowledge I know these other communities will. I’ve only been alive for a decade and a half, but long for adventure in my life and feel it is my destiny. The farthest i’ve been from home is a whopping six hours away to a lake my family went camping at when I was about ten. Back then, I didn’t really care because I honestly didn’t think twice about it, yet as I got older I felt as if I needed it. I need a sense of direction, a place I could go that I didn’t see 15 times a day.
Although I have always pictured in my head what my days of traveling would be like by myself, I would love to go on my journey with someone in my family who shares some of the same interests as me. Over all I plan for my days of traveling to become reality very soon, so I no longer have to be stuck in the same city with the same people, because i’m sick of it. That’s what I know.
